Smart art or 5 things I love about vector illustration (the second one is just too ridiculous)

Imagine that you can take the smile of Mona Lisa, the curves of Venus de Milo, and the pearl earring from The Girl with Pearl Earring, and just throw them in an artsy blender and see what happens? Joking? I am not!

1) This is exactly how I feel and that’s what I LOVE about digital art – combining. I drew one wavy texture a while ago and was pretty pleased with it. I drew the seagulls for my bicyclcle pic

and a lighthouse couple of weeks later as I wanted one for ages. I mixed them up and suddenly they all come together and shine like a gem!

2) I can prove that the dinosaurs were ancestors of birds (because I used the eye of a dino for a bird when I was too lazy to draw a new one) πŸ˜‚

But seriously, how did it happen that an artist traded brushes for a stilus?

3) For me they are like soul and mind – while painting is slow and very kinaesthetic, digital art is sharp, speedy and the possibilities of combination and adjustments of the elements really remind me of how the mind works with momentarily switching between the variety of ideas to explore.

4) It’s totally addictive to be able to create something from nothing and use the parts to create something else 😁

5) New ideas give birth to new ideas. And while this can be said about all spheres of art and life, what I mean is that I found some new ways to present my original art in a different way. Curious? Here come the funky remakes of my photography mixed with some art😁
