    Creativity: the big split

    29.07.2021 / No Comments

I’m writing this on the train to the sea at 5:30 in the morning. We are learning some storytelling approaches with my older one, probably that’s why this text came like right out of the dream. I’ll try to cover the rest in the upcoming posts. So… Once there was art and the art was solid. Solid as a blurb of the dry paint, as a chunk of well loved sketchbook, undoubtful as white canvas. Until two strangers came. One was the tablet and the other was line. They said: we want you. They said: you don’t have much time and we are handy. They said: you are on the…

    Golden Circles Floral series

    19.06.2020 / No Comments

Hey guys, I wanted to make a note about these gems today. Starting as quite a limited series of 8 paintings, there are only 4 left. My Golden Circles Floral series includes flower watercolor paintings on golden background. In these artworks the lightweight and bright petals and greens of flowers pop from delightfully gleaming golden framing which encircles the flowers.I painted some of my all time favorites, the ones that speak to me most. Either spring and summer flowers and tropical ones. If you love them too, I’m happy to share these vibes with you.Vibrant flowers with a touch of gold will bring you romantic mood and give you the…

    Coming to life

    17.06.2020 / No Comments

I stepped away from my workplace, ready to come up from the world of paint blobbing out of the tube and brushes with their swishing noises, and color spots and lines, all in chaos and order. But she looked at me. Despair was in her eyes. Don’t leave me like this – she pleaded. So I took the smallest brush, it’s pointed end so thin I could use it instead of a grass to tickle your nose. And the brush started its dance. It wasn’t so quick and I had to be very careful to control my hand and the lines. But then, the lines flinched and the fan of…

    Charlotte

Charlotte the chameleon was hungry. She ate a mosquito, a fly, two ephemeras and all the tiny midges she could reach with her tongue. But it wasn’t enough. I need to be creative, she thought. And started to dance. Immediately her chameleofollowers sent her dozens of likes and some of them were love bugs. Oh yummm! She saw some treats in it Feed her with your love bugs, don’t be greedy! This is my painting in mixed technique. It features 3D chameleon made with texture paste. Its eye is made of natural nephritis bead. (Swipe to the end to see some closeup photos of texture) Bright and quirky, it will…

    Wild flowers for wild soul

    28.10.2019 / 13 Comments

“I’m tired” – she said. And closed the door. I need something different she thought while leaving the big flower shop which sold a gazillion colors of roses and tulips. My heart is wild, I don’t want tamed flowers in my room. “I’m looking for some really wild flowers” – she said in another shop. Are you the same?Do you love the intricate shapes of protea? The smell of eucalyptus? Are you bored with simple traditional bouquets? Then run in the protea fields, climb the tree and hug a koala, release yourself and remember who you are deep inside. Be wild. Be different. And when you want some rest, maybe… it’s…

    1. Sniffers Colder winds have come and brought a different song. Howling and screeching sounds were flying over the lonely forest. But what’s that? A sudden single beam had colored everything in gold and copper, and bronze and the funny sniffers appeared between the undergrowth. This family was happy to find everything their noses could feel in crispy air. They were preparing for an autumn feast. And there were two silent observers no one might notice… 2. Heather Beauty Fall in love with this shy lady and never let go. She will tell you mossy secrets and foggy tales, and sing you the wind lullabies. When you feel lonely, she’ll be…
